Formed in 1975, "The Inc." was part of the first wave of artist-run centres that were popping up across the country. Now, nearly 300 artists, art lovers and cultural workers from Toronto to Guelph to St. Catharines belong to the group. The artist-run centre is set to become an anchor for the James Street North neighbourhood (161 James Street North, Hamilton ON at the north west corner of James and Cannon Streets .Hamilton Artists Inc. is committed to the presentation, dissemination and support of contemporary visual arts practice in Canada.
